As the first quarter of 2021 comes to a close, we've taken a look at the performance of the top city building games on the Android platform in Latin America. Using data from Sensor Tower, we can see how these games have fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Starting with The Simpsons™: Tapped Out, published by ELECTRONIC ARTS, the game showed a steady trend in downloads, starting at 53K in the first week of January and reaching a peak of 86K by late March. Weekly active users began at 426K in the first week of January, dipped slightly in February, and then climbed to a high of 444K by the end of March.

City Takeover, by VOODOO, experienced a significant spike in downloads, from 2K in early February to over 100K in late February. The weekly active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 24K and rising sharply to 258K by the end of March.

For My Town - Build a City Life, published by My Town Games Ltd, downloads saw a gradual increase from 38K in early January to 45K by the end of March. The game's weekly active users grew from 51K to 56K during the same period.

Social Quantum Ltd's Megapolis: City Building Sim had a different trend with downloads peaking at 38K in early March and then declining to 20K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users saw an increase from 22K at the beginning of January to a peak of 35K in early March, before falling to 24K.

Lastly, SimCity BuildIt, also published by ELECTRONIC ARTS, showed a relatively stable pattern in downloads, hovering around 28K to 31K from January to March. The weekly active users saw a slight decline from 377K in early January to 374K by the end of March.

It's important to note that revenue data for City Takeover was not significant, hence the focus on downloads and active users for this title. For more insights and detailed analytics on the performance of mobile applications, Sensor Tower's platform is the go-to source.
